A Definition of a Tentmaker  

Tentmakers are professionals,skilled artisans, perennial students and others who use their professional, vocational or academic skills to support themselves while they share the Gospel of Jesus in various parts of the world otherwise unreachable. The term "tentmakers" is taken from the Apostle Paul, who supported his own mission activity by making tents (Acts 18:1-4).

How to Know if God is Calling You to be a Tentmaker 

None of us as Christians want to go or do something God has not called us to. So how do you know if God is calling you to be a tentmaker? In determining this you should ask yourself several important questions: 1. Am I willing to do whatever God wants me to do?  2. Do I have a desire to do what God wants me to do?  3. Am I willing to go wherever God wants me to go?  and   4. Do my present circumstances allow me to go. If you have answered yes to the above questions the next step is to seek out the opportunities.
