World Harvest Now, Inc.(WHN) provides humanitarian relief throughout the 10/40 Window, an area stretching from West Africa to East Asia between the 10th and 40th parallels north. In this area, 92% of the worlds most impoverished peoples are found. Below are brief descriptions of some of our recent humanitarian thrusts in the 10/40 Window. Project Vladivostok  Russia is currently in in a state of financial crisis. The most severe humanitarian concerns are lack of food, clothing, and health care. These concerns are magnified as one travels further from the major political and economical regions of Moscow. One area that falls into this category is the Vladivostok region. Located in the farthest extreme of Southeastern Russia, the Vladivostok region is being significantly impacted by the Russian financial crisis. Without a doubt, health care is the most severe concern. Most of the region's hospitals have a critical shortage of medical supplies and the situation will not improve without outside assistance.
